Community
The San Francisco Shambhala Meditation
Center is home to a wonderfully diverse community who share a genuine connection to contemplative practice and the aspiration to
realize a more wakeful, sane society. Friends and members of the Shambhala Center are welcome to attend celebrations, practice events,
meetings and gatherings of special interest groups.
Regular Events
Community gatherings and groups help us fulfill
our role as sangha, or community of practitioners, by supporting one another on our individual paths of
self-discovery. All gatherings are open to the public.
Operations Team Meetings
The Operations Team, led by director Cody McGough, is a diverse group of practitioners dedicated to running the center efficiently and
skillfully, with an emphasis on communication, organization, and the general health and well
being of our community. Working with the view of how a big center operates while maintaining
the initmacy of our community is a primary goal of the team.
Monthly meetings start with sitting meditation at 7pm and conclude at 9pm.
See the calendar for the date of this month's meeting.
